Life Update & Upcoming Events!

A New Chapter for Me: Medical Laboratory Technology

I'm incredibly excited to announce that I'll be starting a new college program on August 15th! I'm enrolling in the Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program. This is a huge milestone for me, as I've been wanting to pursue this degree for about six years now. No schools near me offered it until recently, and I was lucky enough to be one of the first 10 people to apply at our local college. I'm thrilled to finally start this journey. Hopefully, making sure no one dies along the way.

After completing the MLT program, I'm thinking about continuing my education in either Biomedical Science or Wildlife Biology. You know, to keep my options open in the field of either curing humanity's ailments or hanging out with raccoons. (Who doesn't love a trash panda)

To fully dedicate myself to this new degree, I'll be putting my current one on hold (Forever?). This MLT program is pretty intensive it's cohort-style with practicums and small rotations, so it's going to be a significant time investment.

My Availability and Gaming

Don't worry, even with this new schedule, I'll always be here for the server. I'll still be available for planning, talking, and all of our regular events, including XP Daily. Everything we have planned is still moving forward. I'm not going to abandon you all just because I've decided to torture myself.

I'll also still be gaming and streaming once I get everything set up, but my playtime might be reduced. I'm hoping that for the first semester, it will only really affect me on Mondays and Wednesdays. The schedule will change every semester, so I'll keep you all in the loop about which days might be impacted in the future. The amount of online classes and homework I'll have is still a bit of an unknown, so that might affect my gaming time as well. Who needs sleep anyway?

If you need to reach me while I'm studying, I'll be hanging out in the LSA VC. I'll always be available by text, but during practicums or labs, I'll be completely focused on my work. During those specific times, mycel and the other high ranking staff members will be ready to handle any issues that come up. Let's be honest, they're probably more qualified to deal with your problems than I am anyway.

LSA Channel & Minecraft

Speaking of the LSA channel, I started it because so many of us are students, like fyasko and me. I figured a study group would be a great way for us to support each other. It's especially helpful since we have some graduated members who have already been through a lot of this and can lend a hand. Just don't ask me to do your homework (Ask Mycelium, or eyeholes. o.o).

And on a different note, our first-ever Minecraft event, Minecraft: The First Stones, is now scheduled for August 2nd! The time is still to be announced, so keep an eye out for that. It's going to be a blast. After we finish the event in about two weeks, we'll be launching our first official Lost Souls game server.
